History of Our Company

1962: The Sebastian Keller company, a manufacturer of steel components, is founded by Dr. Hans Keller in Nordholz / Germany.

1963: Production of first glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) tank for liquid manure storage.

1964: Founding of formoplast-chemie Dr. Hans Keller GmbH in Nordholz. Production of glass-fibre reinforced storage tanks.

1983: First certification in Germany for GRP/PVC storage tank.

1983: Following completion of his degree in plastics engineering, Klaus-Ingo Keller, the son of the founder, joins his father?s company as Technical Manager.

1988: Klaus-Ingo Keller starts his own company, formoplast Kunststofftechnik GmbH, a manufacturer of polyethylene (HDPE) and polypropylene (PP) storage tanks.

1989: Certification of HDPE storage tanks.

1990: Development and commissioning of spiral-winding machine.

1993: First certification in Germany for double-wall HDPE tank with vacuum safety monitoring (VSM).

1994: Relocation to new plant facility in Dornstadt / Germany.
